The Taylor EDC has established strong relationships with local and state workforce organizations to ensure that Taylor employers have access to world class talent. Whether you want to hire new employees or train existing staff, the following organizations are here to serve you:
- Rural Capital Area Workforce Development Board – Provides job listings, employee search, applicant screening, training programs, and access to workforce incentives for companies locating in the rural Greater Austin area
- Temple College at Taylor – is a branch campus of Temple College, offering associate degrees, technical certificates, workforce training, and personal enrichment classes
- East Williamson County Higher Education Center – Provides advanced manufacturing and healthcare technology training. The EWCHEC has Early College High School and Middle College designations from the Texas Higher Education Coordinating Board
- The Texas Workforce Development Commission – The state agency charged with providing workforce development services to employers and job seekers. For employers, the TWC offers recruiting, retention, training and retraining, and outplacement services as well as information on labor law and labor market statistics
- Texas Skills Development Fund - The Skills Development Fund finances the design and implementation of customized job training projects. This fund matches business needs with local customized training programs. In FY 2005, the Fund awarded grants totaling $8.6 million to 95 Texas companies.
