Local Healthcare
Johns Community Hospital in Taylor is a non-profit 25-bed critical access hospital with 24-hour Emergency Room service. Radiology, Laboratory, Surgery, and Intensive / Cardiac Care services are provided. The hospital is supported by community funds and is not a taxing entity.
Taylor's Scott & White Clinic provides pediatrics, women's healthcare, cancer screening, office surgery, orthopedic care, and occupational medicine to our residents. Scott & White Hospital in Temple is a base for major medical care as well as medical study and research. The Scott & White network has more than 550 physicians and scientists and is one of the nation's "Top 100 Hospitals."
Regional Healthcare
When medical needs extend beyond our regional hospital, Taylor's residents are within close proximity of hospitals and specialty healthcare. Eleven major hospitals and one children's hospital are located in Greater Austin, totaling 2,800 hospital beds and 13,000 physicians and nurses. Seton and Scott & White Hospitals have recently added new complexes in Round Rock.
