In addition to routine business, the Board approved 2007-2001 goals and closed the QAL,Inc. project by agreeing to cease efforts to collect money that legal counsel deemed unrecoverable.
The Board met in executive sessions to discuss economic development negotiations and financial or other incentives to business prospects and to consider land exchange, but took no action when returning to open session..
The Taylor EDC hosted a Job Fair on April 12, 2008 at the Taylor High School Student Center.
The Job Fair, free to all persons interested in attending, is hosted annually and is tentatively scheduled to occur again in March, 2009. Information about the 2008 Job Fair can be downloaded here.
Employers who wish to participate may download registration information here and forward to the Taylor EDC office on or before April 4 to participate.
