Demographic Overview

Taylor's population of 18,509 (State Demographer of the Texas State Date Center estimate for 2009) is located in Williamson County, Texas, the nation's 16th fastest growing county that has more than 10,000 population. More than 100,000 people live within a 15-mile drive of Taylor, up 73% since 2000 and over one-half million people are in the labor force within a 30-mile radius of Taylor (Occupation and Employment 2008, SitesOnTexas). In the next five years, an additional 100,000 new residents are expected to move to the 15-mile area surrounding our City.

Taylor gives companies access to a young and educated population. More than 37% of the area's population has post-secondary education. The median age in Williamson County is 32 years old, 3 years younger than the national average.
